Jane De Haan, a passionate educator, holds Bachelor's degrees in psychology and elementary education. Her journey with the Orton-Gillingham approach began 30 years ago when she took her first training as a volunteer tutor while pursuing her second degree. It was then that she realized her true calling. Jane's teaching career commenced at a dyslexia-focused school in Portland, Oregon, and later, she became a founding member of the Multisensory Learning Academy (MLA), a charter school in Gresham, Oregon. Although Jane took a break to raise her family, she has returned to her dedication of tutoring students with dyslexia. With experience tutoring numerous students through the Blosser Center and in schools, Jane is currently pursuing her Certified level of accreditation from the Orton-Gillingham Academy.
